The longest Carnival in Italy and the oldest in Europe: the Putignano Carnival!
Over 80 events (50 of which are free entry) to experience the most incredible time of the year, the time when order is turned upside down. In the town of Putignano, which has been celebrating Carnival for over 631 years. A unique experience in the historic center of Putignano with over 10 daily events: parades of papier-mâché giants, masked groups, events, concerts, shows, workshops, and food areas with folk music and DJ sets. There are also dedicated spaces for children and people with disabilities.
Main Days:
- Sunday, February 16: From 13:30, float parade at 15:30, Boom stage show from 18:30 (Le Vibrazioni, Eugenio Cesario, Ragazzino).
- Saturday, February 22: From 14:30, float parade at 19:00, show from 21:00 (Urban Legend, Nitro, Folle stage with Fenoaltea and guests).
- Sunday, March 2: From 11:00, float parade, Boom stage show from 18:30 (La Rappresentante di Lista, N.A.I.P).
- Tuesday, March 4: From 18:30, float parade, Boom stage show from 21:30 (La Notte della Taranta and Carnival 2025 awards).
Tickets:
- A ticket is required for the main days.
- If you are already on the route from the beginning of the day*, you do not need to buy a ticket, but if you exit, you will need to buy one to re-enter.
- The ticket grants access to parades, events, shows, and food areas.
- Discount on ticket prices after the parade when the main events start on the stages.
*San Lorenzo Suites is located within the route.

Grotta del Trullo
The Grotta del Trullo, also known as the Grotta di Putignano, is perhaps the most fascinating karst cave in the Apulian region. Its modest size and the incredible quantity of stalagmites and stalactites make it a true gem of millenary beauty.
It is the only cave protected by a trullo and the first cave open to tourism in Puglia.

Grotta di San Michele in Monte Laureto
The Karst Cave of Monte Laureto is a Sacred Place of private nature with extraordinary beauty and historical and cultural significance, part of the Via Dell'Angelo, the Francigena Ways, and the Michaelian Paths.
It is also home to remarkable artistic treasures, such as the 14th-century and early Renaissance frescoes and the sculptures by Stefano Pugliese, a renowned Renaissance sculptor known as Stefano da Putignano. The mystical site has been a pilgrimage destination for centuries.
